Ticket Sales

Tickets may only be purchased online. Customers should go to www.blewburyplayers.co.uk and follow the link to buy tickets. Queries regarding the online booking process can be sent by email to bpboxofficehelp@gmail.com or made by phone on 07944 656711. We aim to respond within 48 hours. We will not issue paper tickets. Purchased tickets will be sent electronically via an order confirmation email. It is possible to print them at home if you wish. Please check your tickets carefully on receipt and contact us immediately if there is a mistake. You must bring your tickets to the theatre; in whichever format you prefer. A valid ticket is required for every audience member regardless of age. The price of the ticket shall be the price set at the time we accept your payment. We reserve the right to refuse to sell tickets to anyone we believe to be purchasing for the purposes of resale. Tickets may not be resold or transferred for profit or commercial gain. To do so will render tickets void and the holder will be refused entry. Friends of the Players may book tickets in advance of the general public. You may join as a Friend by emailing bpfriends123@gmail.com for further details. Neighbours are invited to the opening night performance, each household receiving up to four complimentary tickets.

The Weather at The Summer Play

The auditorium and stage are completely uncovered. We will make every effort to complete the performance but reserve the right to stop and start the action as necessary. Performances are never cancelled or abandoned before the advertised start time and at that time only in the event of persistent bad weather. If the play is cancelled or abandoned before the interval due to weather, you may email bpboxofficehelp@gmail.com within 14 days to claim a voucher equivalent to the face-value of your ticket(s) which can be used to purchase tickets to a future performance by The Blewbury Players at Orchard Dene. The voucher will be valid for two years. If you choose not to claim your voucher, thus considering the price of your ticket(s) as a donation to cover production costs already committed, the Players as a charity with limited reserves would be most grateful. Refunds are not given for cancellation or abandonment as a result of the weather.

Refunds and Exchanges

Tickets may not be exchanged or refunded except in the case of a cancelled performance (excluding weather related cancellation – see above). In the case of non-weather-related cancellation only the face value of your ticket is refundable. In any event, personal arrangements relating to the event, including travel, are at your own risk and not refundable by us. We can accept tickets for resale, but we will only attempt to resell them once a performance is sold out and cannot guarantee that they will be resold.

At the Venue

The management reserves the right to refuse ticket holders admission to the venue in reasonable circumstances including for health and safety, licensing reasons or where a ticket is void. The management also reserves the right to request ticket holders to leave the venue at any point on reasonable grounds and may take any appropriate action to enforce this right. You must comply with the instructions and directions given by the Front of House team. For performances at Orchard Dene, the garden opens one hour prior to each performance. You are welcome to bring your own picnic. Please support the bar. In accordance with licensing regulations, you must be over the age of 18 to purchase and/or consume alcohol. You may be asked for proof of ID if you appear to be under the age of 21. Off-sales are not permitted. Interval drinks which are ordered and purchased in advance are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. You are welcome to take drinks into the auditorium in plastic glasses, but we ask that you do not eat during the performance. We are not liable for any loss, theft or damage of your personal belongings, other than that caused as a result of our negligence.

Latecomers

We cannot guarantee that latecomers will be admitted. We will endeavour to admit them at a suitable point.

The Performances

Smoking, vaping and the use of cameras, recording equipment and mobile phones are not permitted in the auditorium. We reserve the right to refuse admission at our discretion and to make changes to the advertised programme owing to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Ticket-holders consent to their being filmed and photographed for publicity and broadcast purposes.

Data Protection

If you are on the Blewbury Players mailing list and/or a Friend of The Blewbury Players we will keep you informed of future events and, in accordance with the Data Protection Act, we will ask for your consent to do this. The Blewbury Players will ask for and store your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address. We will not pass on your details to third parties without your consent. If you wish to be removed from our mailing list, you may contact us at any time. You can check the information we hold about you by contacting us and if you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct them according to your wishes.
